Bay Harbor condo project nears groundbreaking

The developer has buyers for 60% of the units and is converting reservations to contracts

The developer of a 41-unit waterfront condo in Bay Harbor Islands started converting unit reservations to sale contracts and is preparing to break ground for the development’s construction phase.

The developer, Ability by Acierto, said in a press release that a majority of the units in the nine-story boutique condo development, called Bijou Bay Harbor, have buyers. 

“With 60 percent of its available units sold,” construction of the Bijou Bay Harbor “is expected to start later this year,” according to the press release.

Ability by Acierto is a partnership between Conexo Inmobiliario, led by Andres Arias, and Acierto Inmobiliario, Colombia’s second-largest developer.

Preconstruction prices at for condos at Bijou Bay Harbor start in the mid-$600,000s. They range as high as $2 million for the five penthouses among the 41 units.

Architects Luis Revuelta and Charles H. Benson designed the Bijou Bay Harbor development, which is located at 9521 E. Bay Harbor Drive, a short walk over the Intracoastal Waterway from fashionable Bal Harbour Shops.
