The head of a Boston-based private equity investment firm and his wife are looking to sell their waterfront Key Biscayne estate.
Robert G. Segel and Janice L. Sherman listed their seven-bedroom, 7,445-square-foot home for $13.9 million earlier this month. Segel is managing director of Park Street Capital, a private investment firm. Segel and Sherman also have a nonprofit together call the Robert Segel and Janice L. Sherman Family Foundation, also based in Boston.
The two-story Key Biscayne house was built in 1998, and includes a home office, family room, gourmet kitchen, three-car garage, terraces and a man-made beach and dock. Brigitte Nachtigall of Great Properties International is the listing agent, according to Realtor.com.
The couple paid nearly $8 million for the 19,085-square-foot property in 2005, and put it on the market in 2013 for $15.2 million but later took it off the market, Realtor.com shows.
Other pricey listings in Key Biscayne include a Mashta Point home featured in the 2006 movie remake of “Miami Vice.” That property was listed last month for $39 million. – Katherine Kallergis
