The week in luxury: A map of Miami-Dade’s priciest condo sales

Miami-Dade County’s condo market recovered last week from September’s slow beginning, with sales volume spiking up by roughly $24 million and six condo sales breaking the $1 million price threshold.

The week’s priciest deal was for unit 1602 at the MEI condominium in Miami Beach, which fetched $2.7 million, or $1,495 per square foot, after 112 days on the market. Vivian Aponte Blane of the Keyes Company had the listing for this three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom condo that boasts ocean views, modern style and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Second on the list was Lowell International Realty agent Carrie Foote’s listing for unit 1202 at the Verona at Deering Bay complex in Coral Gables. After spending 326 days up for sale, the unit closed at $2.3 million, or $419 per square foot. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom penthouse features views of Biscayne Bay and a 1,000-square-foot terrace that spans the length of the unit.

And the week’s third-most expensive deal belonged to Tony Rodriguez-Tellacheche of Prestige Realty Group, who sold penthouse 2802 at the Onyx on the Bay tower in Edgewater for $1.875 million. The listing took 311 days to close at $647 per square foot. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom unit has wood floors, bay views and a private rooftop terrace with its own hot tub.

After those top three deals, Miami-Dade’s other seven priciest condo sales ranged from $1.6 million to $760,000.
