The owner of Shingle Creek, the largest piece of vacant land in the Orlando area’s theme park district, listed the 600-acre site for sale for $92 million.
Marc Sirkin, an agent with Engel & Voelkers-Sunny Isles Beach, has the listing for the 600 aces near Disney World, including 264 contiguous acres where a buyer could build homes, offices, hotel rooms or timeshare units.
“The property has a current zoning of A-2 [farmland/rural] and will require rezoning” for commercial or residential development, Engel & Voelkers disclosed in a marketing brochure for the Shingle Creek property. “Shingle Creek provides mixed use zoning possibilities including hotel, timeshare, resorts, multifamily, office ad tourist commercial uses.”
The $92 million asking price for Shingle Creek equates to about $153,000 per acre.
The 600-acre site in unincorporated Orange County is three miles from Disney World, six miles from Sea World, 10 miles from Universal Parks, and 7.5 miles from the Orange County Convention Center.
The location is also within a short drive of several major shopping centers, including Mall at Millennia and Florida Mall, both 12 miles from Shingle Creek.
