Hollywood-based AD1 Global plans to develop three hotels on 57.6 acres along the west side of Disney World in western Orange County. Daniel Berman, chief executive officer of AD1, told the Orlando Sentinel that he hopes construction of the hotels will start late next year, and they will operate under “upper middle-class” brands.
AD1 paid $800,000 in 2013 for the 57.6-acre site at 17509 Bali Boulevard, about eight miles west of Animal Kingdom at Disney World. The land is just south of the 878-unit resort called Grove Resort & Spa, which is undergoing a renovation. Fort Lauderdale-based BTI Partners and another developer plan to open the first 184 units at Grove Resort & Spa on February 16. [Orlando Sentinel] – Mike Seemuth
