One Sotheby’s hosts Art Basel fête with YoungArts: PHOTOS

One Sotheby’s International Realty was among Miami’s development marketing firms to double down on Art Basel Miami Beach this year, hosting a series of events to tie real estate and art together.

Led by Mayi de la Vega and Daniel de la Vega, the firm hosted a breakfast and tour at the National YoungArts Foundation’s Jewel Box in Miami. YoungArts, a Miami-based charity, focuses on mentoring kids and high school students in the visual, literary, design and performing arts.

Bacardi sold the historic building to the National YoungArts Foundation in 2012 at a “significant reduction of its market value, ensuring that an important part of Miami’s architecture, social and cultural fabric will be preserved and honored.”

One Sotheby’s, Fortune International Group, Douglas Elliman and a number of developers hosted events during Miami Art Week. Even individual agents hosted luncheons, dinners and helicopter tours to sell their multimillion-dollar properties. For a recap, click here. – Katherine Kallergis and Sean Stewart-Muniz
