From the New York website: President-elect Donald Trump is ready to face the press.

After canceling a press conference last month — where he was expected to answer questions about potential conflicts of interest issues between the White House and his business operations — Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce plans for a “general news conference” to be held on Jan. 11.

The news conference will be held in New York, the Wall Street Journal reported, and will come just nine days before his inauguration. It will also be the first time he’s addressed the media since July.

As he heads to Washington, Trump faces various potential conflicts, as The Real Deal reported in December. In recent weeks, the president-elect has been in talks with Deutsche Bank to remove personal guarantees from real estate loans totaling $300 million.

He’s also mulled handing control of the Trump Organization to his two adult sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., with Ivanka Trump heading to Washington with husband Jared Kushner.  The couple found a home in the DC area just this week. [WSJ]E.B Solomont
