OVOO Original Design recently celebrated the launch of its first showroom in the United States.

The Brazilian luxury design, art and furniture showroom opened last month at 3650 North Miami Avenue, near Miami’s Design District.

More than 200 Brazilian artists, designers and architects attended the rooftop soiree and viewed OVOO’s curated collection. Founded by Marta Micheli, OVOO has two stores in Brazil, including one in Niteroi and another in Rio de Janeiro, with a third opening soon in São Paulo.

The OVOO furniture collections include benches, tables, armchairs, chaises, shelves and sculptures, fashioned out of rare woods such as pequi, garapeira, red, ipê, among others. Designers include Zanini de Zanini, Pedro Franco, Bruno Falcz, Ronald Scliar Sasson, Fernando Zanardi, Guilherme Wentz, Edu Bortolai, Bernardo Senna, Ângelo Davosin and Thadeu Paisan. — Ina Cordle and Katherine Kallergis
