The developer of a commercial center at Opa-locka Executive Airport plans to build a 110-room hotel there that will operate as a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot.
The location of the Fairfield Inn is Red Road and Northwest 140 Street, next to an off ramp of State Road 924.
The hotel will join the tenant roster of AVE Aviation and Commerce Center at 14530 Northwest 56 Court.
Other tenants of AVE include the US Postal Service, Goodyear, an airplane engine maintenance firm called Turbopower, and a RaceTrac gas and convenience store.
Ernie Cambo of AVE LLC, the developer of AVE and a master lease holder of Opa-locka Executive Airport, said in a prepared statement that the Fairfield Inn hotel “will serve tenants, local businesses and the area’s nearby colleges.”
AVE is a master-planned, 2.5 million-square-foot, aviation-related business park with more than $100 million in capital investment.
