The Astor Companies and Astor Real Estate Group just unveiled their new sales gallery for Merrick Manor in Coral Gables.
More than 200 real estate agents, designers, buyers and guests toured the 5,000-square-foot sales gallery located across the street from the project site, at 4200 Laguna Street. The sales center includes a model unit with a gourmet kitchen, bathroom, living room and master bedroom. On display were a typical unit’s features: Italian cabinets, Bosch appliances and high-end fixtures.
Steven G. of his eponymous interior design firm and Henry Torres, president of Astor Companies, hosted the soiree Thursday night.
Merrick Manor, a 10-story, 227-unit condo building with 19,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, is slated to open in two years.
The development has been in the works since at least 2010, delayed following an ill-fated land swap between the city and Astor. Now that Astor reached an agreement with Coral Gables, the developer has already begun construction.
Prices at the project have also grown considerably from the 2013 sales launch, rising from an average of $400 per square foot to the high $700s per square foot. More than 50 percent of the project is under contract, with prices for remaining units starting in the $500,000s and ranging up to $3 million. Units range from 574 square feet to more than 3,400 square feet. – Katherine Kallergis
