Movers & Shakers: Former One River Point sales director heads to Privé…and more

Privé at Island Estates brought on Adriana Vargas Hernandez as part of its sales team. The move comes more than a year after she was named a Douglas Elliman director of sales at One River Point, a luxury condo project planned for the Miami River.

Gary Cohen and BH3’s Greg Freedman, Dan Lebensohn and Charles Phelan are developing Privé, a 160-unit condo development under construction in Aventura. Vargas Hernandez will be working under sales director Michael Neumann. Before One River Point, she worked as the vice president of broker relations at Fortune International, and a sales director at the Related Group and Cervera Real Estate.

Fortune International Realty named Jessika Gomez as sales director of Canvas, a 513-unit condo building under construction in Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District. The project has an estimated $221 million sellout and is expected to open early next year. Gomez has closed on more than 120 contracts at Canvas, according to the developer, NR Investments.

Nicole Fontaine is now director of leasing and sales at Katz & Associates. Fontaine focuses on business development and retail tenant and landlord representation in Broward and Palm Beach counties. She previously worked for CBRE and Stiles.

Moss & Associates promoted Jason Clark to vice president and project executive. Clark, who has managed the construction of projects like 400 Sunny Isles, 1010 Brickell and the Harbour, joined Moss in 2005 as an assistant project manager. He will now supervise multimillion-dollar projects.

Cresa named Monica Cornejo as a senior associate in South Florida. Before Cresa, Cornejo was a marketing services coordinator at Stiles, where she handled marketing and sales responsibilities tied to landlord and tenant representation, land deals, investment sales and more.

Angie Kenyon left Pei Wei for BBX Capital’s MOD Pizza franchise. Kenyon, previously regional director of real estate for Pei Wei, is now vice president of real estate for MOD. She was also director of development for Starbucks.

Douglas Elliman’s Sasha Ezquerra and Giordanna “Gigi” Giusti joined the sales team for the Four Seasons Private Residences Fort Lauderdale, a 22-story development planned for 525 North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.

Sbe hired Chris Sariego as vice president and general manager of Delano South Beach and SLS Baha Mar in the Bahamas. He was previously senior vice president and general manager of Atlantis Paradise Island Resort, and has worked for The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott International and Starwood Hotels.

German Olivera joined as senior vice president – commercial lending officer. Olivera previously held the same position at U.S. Century Bank, where he worked for 12 years.

Century Homebuilders Group brought on Judy Saavedra as its sales and marketing director. Her 12 years of experience include working with developers like Tibor Hollo of Florida East Coast Realty and Fortune International Group.
