Wellington equestrian estate headed for auction

A 5.5-acre equestrian estate in Wellington is headed for auction with a reserve price, or minimum bid, of $2 million. The property previously had been listed for sale with an asking price of $5 million.

Platinum Luxury Auctions will conduct the April 21 auction of the property in Wellington’s horse-friendly community Palm Beach Point, where the minimum parcel size is five acres.

Platinum will conduct the auction in tandem with the property owner, Krisitina Gustafson of Southfields Real Estate Inc., who also is the property’s listing agent.

Gustafson’s 5.5-acre estate, built in 2000, is a short horse ride from the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

The property’s four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence spans 5,400 square feet. The house has a bar, an enclosed swimming pool and a master suite with a private veranda.

The Wellington property also features a barn with 12 stalls, seven paddocks and its own full bath, plus a riding arena that measures 130 feet by 210 feet.
