From the LLNYC website: The Mar-a-Lago’s initiation fee may have doubled earlier this year to $200,000, but the number of health code violations the club has has more than quadrupled since Trump started his presidential bid.

The club, where President Donald Trump has been entertaining foreign dignitaries like Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has been hit with a record 13 violations by health code inspectors. Three of those fines are characterized as “high priority,” meaning illness-causing bacteria might be found on plates of diners’ very well done steaks.

Among the violations found were:

1) Fish that was intended to be served raw was not prepared correctly; it was ordered to be cooked immediately or thrown away.

2) Meat was not stored at cool enough temperatures; chicken was being kept at 49 degrees and ham was at a sweltering 57 degrees.

3) The coolers were broken and needed to be repaired.

Apparently, before he was running for president, Trump — a self-described germaphobe —  used to stop by the kitchen and make sure everything was running smoothly. In those days, the club only had one or two minor health violations on average. Trump’s presidential run seems to have taken its toll on the kitchen however; last year, when he was still a candidate, the Mar-a-Lago was fined with 11 violations.  [Miami Herald] — Isabel Schwab
