Property records show Claure, the founder of Brightstar Corp., paid Seikaly $11.5 million for the house in 2010. He bought it through his entity MCL Real Estate LLC. Both Sprint, which is based in Overland Park, Kansas, and Miami-based Brightstar are owned by Japan’s SoftBank.

Seikaly, the Heat’s first recruit from Syracuse University, played for the Miami team from 1988 to 1994, setting various team records. He then played for the Golden State Warriors until 1996, and the Orlando Magic until 1998.

According to the listing, the home has an interior courtyard connecting the main house with a guesthouse. The mansion features an open kitchen with family room and dining area, formal dining room, waterfront office, and an upstairs master suite with a seating area and balcony. The guesthouse has three bedrooms and a gym. The home also has a rooftop deck, covered dining area and patio, pool cabana with summer kitchen, infinity pool, Jacuzzi and a basketball court.

North Bay Road is home to such celebrities as Phil Collins, who bought Jennifer Lopez’s former home at 5800 North Bay Road in 2015; and NBA stars like Chris Bosh, who lives at 6396 North Bay Road. In February, J Crew CEO Millard “Mickey” Drexler and his wife Peggy Drexler, paid $13 million for Calvin Klein’s home at 4452 North Bay Road.
