Andrea Bocelli performs at the Residences by Armani/Casa sales center: PHOTOS

Developers Jorge Perez and Gil Dezer hosted a private concert at their Residences by Armani/Casa sales center in Sunny Isles Beach. The main act? Andrea Bocelli.

The Italian classical tenor, singer-songwriter and recording artist performed for more than 250 guests and potential condo buyers, at the beachfront luxury sales center last week. The concert raised more than $600,000 for the Andrea Bocelli Foundation’s projects in Haiti, and was followed by a VIP dinner that included supermodel Petra Nemcova and Miami Dolphins star running back Jay Ajai, according to a press release.

The Residences, a planned 56-story, 308-unit tower at 18975 Collins Avenue, will be the first Armani/Casa-branded building in the U.S. Units, ranging in size from 1,350 square feet to 4,160 square feet, are priced from $2 million to more than $15 million. It will be completed in 2019 and is being financed with a $305 million construction loan.

Some developers, Dezer included, have hosted artists at their condo projects as a way to bring in buyers, agents and showcase their product. At the grand opening of Porsche Design Tower in March, the developer surprised guests with a performance by Alicia Keys, a fireworks display and tours of the 60-story tower. – Katherine Kallergis
