A Brazilian couple just paid $5.3 million for the Coconut Grove waterfront home of H.I.G Capital’s Rick Rosen.

The 4,715-square-foot modern-style house at 1796 South Bayshore Lane in Miami sold for $1,124 per square foot.

Rosen, executive managing director of Miami-based private equity investment firm H.I.G. Capital, just married Kara Zeder, of EWM Realty International’s Zeder Team, last month. The Zeder team, which placed second in The Real Deal‘s ranking of top agents for single-family home sales in 2016, had the listing. Zeder did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Records show Rosen paid $2.3 million for the home in 2008.

The buyer is Siamonoi Overseas Ltd., which was represented by Beatriz Pesquera of AG Real Estate Advisors. Pesquera told TRD a Brazilian couple who moved to Miami two years ago bought the home. She declined to name them, but said the husband is an investor and the wife, an architect. Records show Siamonoi Overseas Ltd. had purchased a home at 3321 Crystal Court in Miami in 2015 for $1.75 million.

The modern-style home on Bayshore Lane was rebuilt and redesigned in 2011 and features 85 feet of Biscayne Bay waterfront. The house features a heated saltwater pool, Brazilian teak wood and basalt stone countertops, according to the listing.

Earlier this week, the son of former Mexican president Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Leon sold his Coconut Grove home for $5.08 million, marking a total price and a per-square-foot record for non-waterfront properties in the Grove. The 6,212-square-foot house, at 3503 Banyan Circle, traded for $818 per square foot.
