UPDATED May 24, 2:50 p.m.: Dr. Jorge Acevedo and his wife Yanin just paid $17.2 million for a waterfront Coral Gables mansion at 181 Leucadendra Drive in Coral Gables.

County records show the sellers, David M. and Lily T. Beirne, bought the two-story, single family home for $15.83 million in 2012. The house was built in 2004.

Measuring 12,614 square feet, the estate’s most recent sale breaks down to $1,368 per square foot.

The home was listed in March 2015 for $22.5 million and had multiple price changes and was delisted and relisted since then. It was most recently listed with EWM Realty International.

Belinda Sime, of Sime Realty Corp., represented the buyers. She was ranked sixth for most single-family homes sold in Miami with $62.5 million closed, in 2016.

The classic, Mediterranean inspired estate features five bedrooms and five bathrooms with a lot size of 1.11 acres, according to a press release. It was designed by famed architects Cesar Molina and Jodel Narcisse.

The home comes with added features like a wine cellar, elevator, gas generator, impact glass, full-service dock, boat lift, and a separate, connected guesthouse, according to Zillow.

In April of last year, a Panamanian corporation paid $16.5 million for 325 Leucadendra Drive, the former mansion of developer Sergio Pino. The 15,920-square-foot, nine-bedroom, 11-bathroom home sold for $1,036 per square foot. — Amanda Rabines
