Hibiscus Island home re-listed for $18.9M
Coldwell Banker agents Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg are marketing the island home in Miami Beach
The owner of a year-old waterfront house on Hibiscus Island in Miami Beach re-listed the property for sale with a reduced asking price of $18.9 million.
Coldwell Banker agents Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg, “the Jills,” have the listing. Calibre International Realty previously listed the three-story home at 440 South Hibiscus Drive for sale with an asking price of $20 million.
Roney J. Mateu designed the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom house, a three-story building with 6,607 square feet of interior living space.
The house has a rooftop terrace, glass elevator, summer kitchen, gym and movie theater, plus a wine chiller and a wet bar adjacent to a swimming pool deck. The house has 85 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay and a dock with a boat lift and jet-ski pads.
The owner of the house, Swiss eye doctor Aldo Scarpatetti, paid $5.5 million for the 11,027-square-foot lot in 2012, demolished a two-story house on the lot and finished building his three-story home last year.
The master suite on the second floor has a large walk-in closet, a fireplace and balcony overlooking the pool. [Sun-Sentinel] – Mike Seemuth
