Key International finishes renovation of Hampton Inn in Gainesville
Key worked with LBA Hospitality on the renovation, which cost almost $2 million
Key International finished a nearly $2 million renovation of a 124-room Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Gainesville.
Hotel management, development and consulting firm LBA Hospitality worked on the renovation project with Key International, which has offices in Miami and Madrid, Spain.
Key International paid $27 million to acquire the Hampton Inn & Suites Gainesville-Downtown in September of last year and started the renovation work in November under the supervision of LBA Hospitality.
Among other upgrades, Key International installed a new digital key system that allows hotel guests to check-in, select a room and unlock the door with their smart phone.
Key International completed renovations that align with Hampton by Hilton’s Forever Young Initiative, a set of design criteria aimed at appealing to millennial travelers.
The Hampton Inn at 101 Southeast 1 Avenue in downtown Gainesville is a five-minute drive from the 2,000-acre campus of the University of Florida. It is also within a few miles of such Gainesville destinations as the Florida Museum of Natural History, the University of Florida Golf course and the Thomas Center art galleries.
Key International’s high-profile projects include the development of 400 Sunny Isles, 1010 Brickell, and the Mint and The Ivy towers in downtown Miami, plus the $250 Million expansion and restoration of the Nobu Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach.
