Two crane lifts fell at a construction site near Northwest 57th Avenue and Blue Lagoon Drive this morning.
The two scissor lifts toppled over, seriously hurting at least two workers who were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. A third was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center, according to Local 10 News.
The accident occurred near 1200 Northwest 57th Avenue, and could be the site of 800 Waterford Tower, a 10-story office building that recently broke ground.
A spokesperson for TIAA-CREF was looking into the accident, and was not aware of it occurring at the development site. TIAA is co-developing 800 Waterford along with Allianz Real Estate of America. [Local 10] — Amanda Rabines
