Colombia tops countries looking for Miami homes in March: report

Colombia was back on top as the No. 1 country searching for Miami real estate in March, according to Miami Association of Realtors’ latest report.

Colombia dethroned Brazil, which led the ranking in February. Web users from Colombia registered the most property searches on the association’s website,, in March, followed by Venezuela and Brazil.

Latin American countries typically lead the monthly list, although Russia and Canada have ranked No. 1 in recent months. Last year, Colombian and Brazilian homebuyers made the third-most international purchases in South Florida with a 10 percent share, according to the report. Buyers from Venezuela represented 15 percent, while Argentina came in at No. 2 with 11 percent.
