Eight luxury homes priced from $2 million are planned in Southwest Ranches as part of a custom-home community called Reserve at the Ranches.

The homes at 17135 Reserve Court will start at 6,000 square feet and will each sit on an acre of land with individual gates, according to a press release. Buyers will have the opportunity to custom-design their homes.

Home builders Ellish Builders and The Spear Group are developing the project. Douglas Elliman’s Tinka Ellington and Domingos Carlos are the listing agents.

Features of the homes will include 14-foot ceilings, climate-controlled wine rooms, Sub-Zero and Wolfe kitchen appliances, separate entertainment areas, and resort-style pools, according to the release.

Jay Phillip Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman’s Florida brokerage said in a statement that the homes offer proximity to Fort Lauderdale but offer the suburban setting of Southwest Ranches.

The rural town is south of Weston and west of Cooper City. It lies on the eastern edge of the Everglades and has been home to a number of famous athletes and celebrities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Cleveland Browns’ Karlos Dansby, and NFL cornerback Asante Samuel.
