Surgery center just east of Tampa commands $7.2 million

A surgery center in the Riverview community just east of Tampa sold for $7.2 million.

Brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap marketed the 18,708-square-foot property, called Bay Area Physicians Surgery Center. It is located at 6043 Winthrop Commerce Center in Riverview and its tenants are Bay Area Physicians Surgery Center and Florida Urology Partners.

Two members of the Marcus & Millichap office in Tampa – Krone Wiedler, first vice president investments, and associate L.J. Tsunis – had the exclusive listing to market the surgery center on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company.

Kimberly Jones, a senior associate in the Nashville office of Marcus & Millichap, secured and represented the buyer, a real estate investment trust.
