Hurricane Irma hit President Trump’s 11-bedroom Plum Bay mansion on St. Martin on Wednesday. The Caribbean property has been on the market for $28 million since May, according to The Washington Post.

The storm is expected to reach South Florida this weekend, and could potentially damage the “Winter White House,” Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach.

President Trump purchased his Caribbean waterfront Le Chateau des Palmiers, in 2013. Damage to the property is unconfirmed, but French officials did confirm devastation across the island and damage to four of the island’s most solid government buildings, according to the Post.

Daniel Gibbs, president of the territorial council for St. Martin, first told AFP: “It’s an enormous catastrophe. Ninety-five percent of the island is destroyed.”

“All of the proper precautions and protections have been implemented and right now we are just praying for all those in the path of Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean and beyond,” said Trump Organization spokeswoman Amanda Miller.

In August, Trump slashed the price  of the property by $11 million, lowering the price for Le Chateau des Palmiers to $16.9 million. [Washington Post] – Grace Guarnieri
