Hollywood firm buys Comfort Inn near Disney for $20.5 million

Hollywood-based Ad1 Global bought a 200-room Comfort Inn hotel just east of Walt Disney World in Orlando for $20.5 million, more than double the hotel’s previous sale price in 2013.

AD1 bought the Comfort Inn Orlando Lake Buena Vista from Sun Vista Hotels II LLC for $102,500 per room. The transaction closed on Sept. 27.

The hotel previously sold for $10.1 million in a 2013 transaction, according to records on file with the Orange County Property Appraiser.

Built in 1988, the seven-story Comfort Inn at 8686 Palm Parkway has about 100,000 square feet of interior space.

AD1 Global also plans to develop three hotels on 57.6 acres along the west side of Disney World in western Orange County.  The Hollywood-based firm paid $800,000 in 2013 for the 57.6-acre site at 17509 Bali Boulevard, about eight miles west of Animal Kingdom at Disney World [Orlando Business Journal] — Mike Seemuth
