Kolter acquires 268 acres for home sites south of Tampa

The West Palm Beach-based company bought the land for $6.97 million or about $26,000 per acre

West Palm Beach-based Kolter Group paid $6.97 million for 268 acres just south of Tampa in northeast Manatee County.

Kolter plans to develop home-construction sites on the land, which is zoned for residential development and approved for 562 houses.

The West Palm Beach-based company expects to sell the home sites to national home builders.

An arm of Kolter called Kolter Land Acquisitions bought the 268-acre property from Neal Land Ventures for about $26,000 per acre.

The property in northeast Manatee County is several miles south of the Hillsborough County line and west of U.S. Highway 301, near a 1.1 million-square-foot Amazon fulfillment center in Ruskin.
