Miami firm to co-develop Cambria hotel in downtown Orlando

Miami-based HB Capital Group, LLC, and Stratus Development, LLC, plan to open the eight-story, 153-room hotel in 2020

Miami-based HB Capital Group, LLC, and a partner to develop a new hotel in downtown Orlando under the Cambria brand.

HB Capital and Irvine, Calif.-based Stratus Development Partners, LLC, signed a deal with Choice Hotels International Inc. to develop the Cambria Hotel Orlando, expected to open in 2020.

The eight-story, 153-room hotel will be located at 170 East Washington St. in downtown Orlando.

HB Capital, led by CEO Steven Hurowitz, previously collaborated with Stratus to open Cambria hotels at two other locations.

HB Capital is a privately held real estate owner, investor and developer that currently owns more than 50 properties with about 3 million square feet.

Stratus is a full-service real estate firm that has entitled, developed, built, renovated and redeveloped about 26 residential properties in California with more than 2,700 units. – Mike Seemuth
