Inside Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum, Las Olas Walk & more

Hadid’s condo features a curvy exoskeleton, with aquatic center

Developers of One Thousand Museum, Akoya Boca West, Las Olas Walk and a new townhome development, 3621 South Ocean, just released a slew of new renderings.

One Thousand Museum

After recently topping off, the Zaha Hadid-designed luxury condominium, One Thousand Museum, released another look inside the project.

The 62-story tower, rising at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard, features Hadid designed amenity spaces and furnishings. New renderings of the curvy exoskeleton-shaped condo include a look at Hadid’s double-height aquatic center with an indoor pool and a luxury “Lifestyle Center and Spa.”

The project marks the starchitect’s first residential tower in the Western Hemisphere. She died in March 2016. Gregg Covin, Todd Michael Glaser, Louis Birdman, Kevin Venger, Gilberto Bomeny and Regalia Group are all behind the development.

Prices at the 83-unit condominium range from $5.5 million to more than $20 million.

Las Olas Walk

Zom Living is developing Las Olas Walk, a 456-apartment project designed by RTKL in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Las Olas Walk will rise on a 3.16-acre parcel between Southeast First Street and Southeast Second Court, on the east side of South Federal Highway. In the midst of breaking ground, architecture and design firm Stantec released renderings of some of its amenities.

The 329-unit north tower will feature a lobby designed for residents to lounge in, as well as a pool and a 5,000-square-foot fitness center. Renderings show the south tower’s co-working space and its 20,000-square-foot amenity rooftop deck. The two, 8-story buildings will be connected by a walkway.

The developer released new exterior and interior renderings of the project. Douglas Elliman will handle sales. Prices begin around $900,000, and units range from two to five bedrooms. Floor plans go from about 2,000 square feet to more than 4,500 square feet.

The country club spans 1,400 acres with about 400,000 square feet of club facilities and amenities, including a sports complex, clubhouse, a 38,000-square-foot spa, tennis facilities, dining and entertainment venues, and four 18-hole championship golf courses.

Tower One at Akoya Boca West is more than 70 percent sold, according to a press release and its second tower is more than 50 percent sold. Siemens is aiming to open the project this fall.

A partnership between Grafton Street Capital, Capital Development Group International and Halstatt Real Estate Partners is developing the new townhome community, 3621 South Ocean in Highland Beach.

The 6-unit townhome project at 3621 South Ocean Boulevard is under construction. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom, 4-story townhomes each will feature a pool, rooftop deck, high ceilings and two car garages.

Ashley McIntosh and Chris Leavitt of The Leavitt McIntosh team at Douglas Elliman are handling sales, with prices beginning at $6.8 million, according to a spokesperson. Two units have already sold.
