The Cordish Companies formed a joint venture with Eldorado Resorts Inc., owner of Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park, to build a mixed-use development around the casino and harness racing track in Pompano Beach.
The 223-acre development would include an office campus, a hotel, residences, and space for retail stores and restaurants.
Pompano Beach Mayor Lamar Fisher said in a prepared statement that city officials “look forward to working closely together with The Cordish Companies and Eldorado Resorts in creating a destination like no other.”
Reno, Nevada-based Eldorado Resorts acquired the Pompano Beach property as part of its $1.7 billion purchase of Isle of Capri Casinos in 2017. Eldorado owns and operates a total of 20 casino properties in ten states.
