Stiles plans to develop a shopping center in Miramar

Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles Corp. plans to develop a 169,000-square-foot shopping center in Miramar.

The company’s in-house design unit, Stiles Architectural Group, submitted plans to the city government for the shopping center development, called Monarch Town Center.

The proposed development would unfold on a 22-acre site is on the northwest corner of Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road.

The Miramar Planning and Zoning Board is scheduled to review the proposed shopping center on June 12.

Michael Alpert, the principal planner for Miramar’s municipal government, said the shopping center would include several buildings with a contemporary architectural design and exterior-entry courtyards.

Tenants of Monarch Town Center could include a grocery store, an adjacent liquor store and a pharmacy with a drive-through lane.
