Retail roundup: Terra’s Pembroke Pines project now 95% leased & more

Terra’s Pines City Center reaches 95% occupancy

A number of new retailers have signed onto Terra’s 47-acre Pines City Center, bringing the mixed-use project to 95 percent leased.

New tenants include Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, which inked a 8,151-square-foot lease at the Pembroke Pines development. The Louisiana-based sports bar chain is co-owned by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. Other new tenants include Chuy’s Tex Mex, Paradise Grills, McAlister’s Deli and Davvero Pasta.

The developer recently broke ground on phase two of the project, which will add an additional 150,000 square feet of retail alongside 387 apartments. Courtelis Company is handling leasing.

Lombardi’s new Wynwood building fills up

A bakery, clothing stores, and Swiss watch company secured space at a new Lombardi Properties project in Wynwood.

Tenants moving into the 13,000-square-foot building at 160 Northwest 26th Street include Pink Pie, a bakery that focuses on pies, women’s active apparel and swimwear retailer Eightspace, and a boutique clothing store, Strand Sparrow.

Retail spaces average 935 square feet, according to Lombardi’s Julian Oquendo. Another deal, secured this week for an undisclosed retailer, brings the building to fully leased. Oquendo declined to identify that tenant.

Lombardi moved its office to the second floor of the building, where Swiss luxury watch company, Audemar Piguet Corporate, will take up the remaining office space.

Strike 10 and others ink leases at Mizner Park in Boca Raton

Three new tenants just struck a deal at Mizner Park in Boca Raton.

Strike 10 Bowling & Sports Lounge plans to open next year at 327 Plaza Real. Douglas Development is also leasing space for a sales center for Alina Residences, and Oakgem Jewelry also secured a lease.

The 255,000-square-foot shopping center is owned by Brookfield Properties Retail Group and was renovated in 2006.

New York & Company, pop-ups sign leases at Galleria at Fort Lauderdale

Ahead of the holiday season, retail pop-ups Calendar Club and See’s Candies are set to open at Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, in addition to new long-term tenants.

New York & Company and Cotton Natural will open stores at the Keystone-Florida Property Holding Corp.’s mall. Clothing Natural will open its first Fort Lauderdale store in mid-November.

Luggage store expands to Bal Harbour Shops

Luggage retailer RIMOWA just opened a 1,000-square-foot store at Bal Harbour Shops.

In February, Whitman Family Development secured a $150 million loan to expand the high-end mall at 9700 Collins Avenue, which includes adding more than 340,000 square feet to the 511,000-square-foot property.
