UPDATED, Feb. 7, 1 p.m.: Chew on this: the former owner of the popular La Sandwicherie sandwich shops just sold a new waterfront home in Miami Beach for $6 million.

Property records show Bali 33 LLC, a company led by Olivier Farrat, sold the five-bedroom, nearly 6,400-square-foot home at 3465 Meridian Avenue on the Biscayne Waterway. The buyer is a businessman from Chicago, said Julian Johnston of Calibre International Realty.

Farrat sold his ownership in La Sandwicherie in 2006.

Johnston represented the buyer, while Albert Justo of One Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent.

The house, built in 2017, features a custom Italian kitchen with Miele and Wolf appliances and marble countertops, a cabana with a grill, a heated pool and Jacuzzi, and a rooftop terrace, according to the listing. It was last on the market for $6.95 million.

Records show the 13,227-square-foot lot last sold for $1.5 million in 2013.

La Sandwicherie has cafes in Miami Beach and Brickell and is also opening soon in Wynwood, according to its website. Farrat is no longer involved. In 2017, Farrat sold his waterfront home at 2018 North Bay Road to Burger King executive Eric Hirschhorn for $5.5 million.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified Olivier Farrat as the current owner of La Sandwicherie. He is no longer involved.
