Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina’s owner Tavistock Development Company hired a former Swire Properties senior vice president to lead development and construction of the Fort Lauderdale project.

Chris Gandolfo is now a vice president at Tavistock, an Orlando-based investment and development firm. Gandolfo worked for Swire for 20 years, overseeing large-scale developments that include Brickell City Centre, the Asia and Jade Brickell condo buildings and The Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Brickell Key.

Last year, the Fort Lauderdale City Commission approved a 15-year development agreement for the 22-acre site. The deal calls for up to 575 residential units, fewer than the 750 initially proposed.

Transwestern promoted Bruce Ford to president of the firm’s commercial services in the eastern U.S., covering states that include Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York, and Washington, D.C. Ford was previously president of the Southeast division.

EWM Realty International brought on six new agents at its Key Biscayne branch at 644 Crandon Boulevard: Sandra Cappelleti-Diaz, Christian Casini, Catarina Zagury Teles Da Silva, Victoria De Giraldo, Maria Ines Velasco and Marina Valazquez.

Andrey Laranjeira joined Apex Capital Realty as a commercial real estate adviser. Laranjeira previously worked for Cornerstone International Realty and Engel & Volkers Miami.

Berger Commercial Realty/CORFAC International hired Daniel Silver as a sales associate in Palm Beach County. Silver focuses on office and industrial tenant representation, leasing and sales of commercial properties.

Current Builders named two new partners, Kar Ho and Eric Seminara. Ho was promoted to virtual design and construction manager and Seminara was promoted to senior project manager.
