Fresh Market-anchored shops in Wellington sell for $26M

Tenants include Mellow Mushroom, Pei Wei Asian Diner and City Mattress

A Fresh Market-anchored shopping center in Wellington sold for $26.13 million.

Salus Wellington Green Square, managed by an RREEF executive, sold the 90,341-square-foot property at 10640 West Forest Hill Boulevard for $289 per square foot, records show. The shopping center, near the Mall at Wellington Green, is also leased to Mellow Mushroom, Pei Wei Asian Diner and City Mattress.

Shawnick Wellington, an Irvine, California-based company managed by Dr. Esmail Shahidi, acquired the property. It financed the deal with a $16 million loan from State Life Insurance.

Recently, JBL Asset Management bought the nearby Plaza at Wellington Green for $18 million from a Colorado real estate investor. The retail center is part of nearby Wellington Green Mall, a 1.28-million-square-foot super regional shopping center anchored by Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s and JCPenney.
