Compass Commercial launched in South Florida with former KW Commercial broker

Daniel Crann joined Colliers International South Florida as director of development services as Colliers expands its construction supervision services across Florida.

Crann will be based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office to oversee the team’s growth in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. He previously served as director of construction for iPic Entertainment, which recently filed for bankruptcy.

The Altman Companies promoted Timothy Peterson to chief operating officer and hired Robert Rabin as chief financial officer. Peterson joined the company in 2003 as CFO and partner. Rabin has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Brad Kuskin is now the founding principal of Compass’ commercial division in South Florida. Kuskin left KW Commercial, where he was a top broker in Jupiter, closing more than $75 million worth of deals since mid-2018.

The Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables tapped Leslie Weil as general manager of the property. She has previously worked for Turnberry Associates, Sage Hospitality and Selina.

Transwestern Commercial Services promoted Andrea Lopez to managing senior vice president of asset services. Lopez is also asset manager for the U.S. portfolio of Sumitomo Corporation of Americas.

Morgan Blittner, Carmen Gamarra and Waldina Suarez joined Brown Harris Stevens Miami. The new agents will be based at the firm’s Sunset Harbour office in Miami Beach.

Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, P.L. brought on Belinda Bacon as Of Counsel based at the firm’s Coral Gables office. She’ll work with the law firm’s construction practice group.

James Lawrence joined RE/MAX Advance Realty as director of sales for the company’s sports and entertainment division. He was previously with RE/MAX Properties in Jupiter, where he represented players and front office executives from Major League Baseball teams.
