Puerto Rican rapper buys Porsche Design Tower unit

Dezer paid $4.5M, including buyer’s premium, to buy the unit back at auction

Puerto Rican rapper and singer Anuel AA closed on his unit at Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach.

Property records reveal the Latin trap artist, whose real name is Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, paid $6.25 million for the three-bedroom, 4,794-square-foot unit via 3605 P0442 LLC. The deal reportedly closed in April, but was just recorded in Miami-Dade County.

Anuel AA won the 2019 Billboard Latin Music Award for new artist of the year.

Developer Gil Dezer sold the unit to the rapper’s LLC, which is also controlled by his father, Jose Gazmey, who was the vice president of the A&R department of Sony Music Entertainment’s Puerto Rican division.

Dezer delivered the 132-unit, 60-story tower at 18555 Collins Avenue in 2016, and sold the unit to AD Royale, a company controlled by Dariusz Robert Wojdyga, a wealthy Polish investor, and his wife Agnieszka Gasior, in March 2017.

Wojdyga then tried to flip the unit for $8.9 million, only to end up selling it via auction to Dezer for $4.1 million.

With the buyer’s premium, Dezer paid about $4.5 million to close on the condo in October. The sellers had spent about $1 million building out the unit with Interiors by Steven G, with a designer kitchen with Miele appliances and motorized cabinets, a master bathroom with a stone spa bath and Dornbracht fixtures.

Owners at Porsche Design include Mexican billionaire Carlos Peralta Quintero, Colorado Rockies player Carlos “CarGo” Gonzalez, Russian businessman Igor Yakovlev, and Terry Taylor, the president of a major car dealership, who paid $25 million, or $2,615 per square foot, for a four-story penthouse at the tower.

Dezer Development completed the building in November 2016 and celebrated its opening with a private party that featured a performance from Alicia Keys.
