Parkland plans to combine the 24-acre property with two adjacent properties it owns to build the park, according to a city commission agenda. The land at 8400 Nob Hill Road is just north of Parkland Golf and Country Club.

Beasley Media Group is based in Naples, Florida and owns 64 radio stations in several states including Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Florida and Michigan.

Parkland is a suburb in the northwest part of Broward County. Homebuilders are seeking to build more single-family homes in the area. In 2017, CC Homes picked up about 7 acres to build a 25-home luxury project called Cascata at MiraLago. Last year, developer Craig Perry of Centerline Capital Advisors paid $50.5 million for a development site in Parkland that is zoned for 445 single-family homes.
