Rooms To Go’s CEO Jeffrey Seaman bought a property down the road from his company’s store in Boca Raton.

Seaman purchased the property at 9465 Glades Road from Amherst, New York-based Benchmark Group for $8.45 million, records show. The building totals 26,344 square feet, which equates to a sale price of $320 per square foot.

Benchmark purchased the property for $7 million in 2004, the year the building was completed, records show.

The retail building’s current tenants are Thomasville Furniture & Antonini Modern Living. It’s close to the Florida Turnpike and I-95.

Benchmark Group is led by Arthur Gellman, George Gellman and Clarke Narins. The company has 6,000 apartment units in 12 states and nearly 4 million square feet of retail space in 11 states, according to its website.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Seffner, Florida, Rooms To Go operates furniture stores in about a dozen states. The company has a store half a mile away from the latest purchase, at 9465 Glades Road in Boca Raton.
