The maker of Bang energy drinks paid $40.37 million for a warehouse in Pembroke Pines, adding to its assemblage.
Weston-based Vital Pharmaceuticals purchased the 249,005-square-foot warehouse known as the South Florida Distribution Center at 20351 Sheridan Street for $165 per square foot. South Florida Distribution Center Building B, LLC, which is a partnership between Helms Development and Atlanta-based Core5 Industrial Partners, sold the property, according to a release.
The deal comes nearly one year after Vital Pharmaceuticals bought the adjacent 224,572-square-foot warehouse at 20311 Sheridan Street for $35 million. The company plans to move its headquarters from Weston to Pembroke Pines.
South Florida Distribution Center is a three-building logistics park on 66 acres less than one-half mile from U.S. 27. The site was formerly home to a women’s prison. The warehouse was built in 2017.
Vital Pharmaceuticals, led by Jack Owoc, manufactures and distributes sports supplements under the brand name VPX. Its products include Power Rush and Bang, a popular sports energy drink.
In February, Jack Owoc and his wife, Meg Liz Owoc, paid $7.7 million for a six-bedroom, six-bathroom home and a adjacent 2.4-acre vacant lot in Southwest Ranches, Florida.
