A Delray Beach couple sold their lakefront estate with its own Chanel boutique-inspired closet for $17 million.
Michelle and Seth Cohen sold the 18,206-square-foot mansion at 9200 Rockybrook Way to an undisclosed Delaware LLC, according to Douglas Elliman. The 2.67-acre property is in Stone Creek Ranch, a new gated community west of Delray Beach in unincorporated Palm Beach County.
The property hit the market last year for nearly $19 million with Senada Adzem of Elliman. It made headlines last year because the mansion included a room with $100,000 worth of Air Jordan shoes. A master wardrobe closet was designed to look like a Chanel boutique.
The estate includes a 170,000-gallon salt water swimming pool, grotto and rock wall; a gym, spa and massage room; a movie theater; a 1,000-bottle wine room; a hidden cigar room with custom ventilation; and a garage with space for 14 cars.
The Cohens are leaving South Florida and moving to New York, Adzem said.
Adzem said she had multiple offers for the estate from business people and celebrities, including some close to the asking price, but that the sellers “had a particular price and terms in mind.”
The couple paid $800,000 for the property in 2013 and later built the mansion. Records show Seth Cohen’s brother owns the mansion next door at 9210 Rockybrook Way and their father and mother own the home on the other side of Seth’s, at 9192 Rockybrook Way.
Adzem said that while the parents are planning to stay, Seth’s brother will be listing his property with Adzem for $25 million.
Nearly a year ago, the CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprises bought a mansion in Stone Creek Ranch, at 16141 Quiet Vista Circle, for $7.5 million.
