A sprawling 13-acre estate in the Florida Keys hit the market for $24.5 million.
The Tavernier property, at 94100 Overseas Highway, would set a record in the Keys if it sells for more than the current record of $13.125 million.
Audrey Ross and Arline Tarte of Compass have the listing for the eight-bedroom, nine-bathroom home. The bayfront property, which includes a main house, a cottage and a guest house, overlooks Everglades National Park and has 2 acres of beaches, private boat dockages, orchid-filled trails, waterfalls, koi ponds and landscaping. The house includes a theater room, massage room, and bar.
Records show the property is owned by a revocable trust in the name of Jeanette Brandon. Brandon died in July and lived in the home with her husband, Richard.
Ross, a co-listing agent, sold 80999 Old Highway, which sold for the current record of $13.125 million in 2015, according to a Compass spokesperson and property records.
The Brandons’ property is among the most expensive listings in the Keys. Nearby on Tavernier, the 2.75-acre property at 94225 Overseas Highway, currently asking $7.2 million, has a contingent offer, according to Realtor.com. An accountant in Miami owns the home.
