A three-story mini-golf is coming to Brickell City Centre

A London mini-golf company signed its first lease in Miami and its largest to date, at Brickell City Centre, as mall owners across the country shake up their tenant mix.

Puttshack is leasing a three-story, 29,000-square-foot space above Luna Park Food Hall, which replaced the Italian food hall, La Centrale, according to a spokesperson. Puttshack will be on floors 4, 5 and 6 in a space previously used for events and popups.

Swire Properties, Simon Property Group and Whitman Family Development co-developed the retail portion of Brickell City Centre, which opened in 2016. Swire developed the other components of the mixed-use project, which includes East, Miami hotel, an office building leased to Akerman LLP, and Reach and Rise condo towers.

Puttshack was founded by Topgolf and World Golf Systems founders Steve and David Jolliffe, as well as Adam Breeden, co-founder of Flight Club, AceBounce and All Star Lanes. The London company, which has its global headquarters in Chicago, offers mini-golf with “trackaball” technology, food and beverage options, and event space. The company has three locations in London and leases signed in Atlanta and Chicago, according to a press release.

The Brickell City Centre space is set to open early next year, and will have three nine-hole competitive mini-golf courses, rooftop event space, a bar and restaurant.

Robert Johnson and Mathew Focht of Emerging Concepts represented Puttshack in the lease.

New tenants at Brickell City Centre include Sur La Table and Kirk Jewelers. Marabú, a Cuban restaurant from Vida & Estilo Restaurant Group, is opening at the mall in the spring on the fourth floor near CMX. Indochino, a menswear brand, is also expected to open this summer on the third floor near Saks Fifth Avenue.

About a year ago, Swire and Colombian businessman Carlos Mattos scored final approval for a 100,000-square-foot-plus expansion of Brickell City Centre.
