Talk about a highly charged deal.
The maker of the energy drink Bang bought a 23-acre site at 20421 Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines for $32.5 million, records show. South Florida Distribution Center LLC, a partnership between Helms Development and Atlanta-based Core5 Industrial Partners, sold the property.
The purchase marks the third parcel that Vital Pharmaceuticals has acquired at the industrial site. In January, Vital Pharmaceuticals paid $40.37 million for a 249,005-square-foot warehouse at 20351 Sheridan Street. Last year, Vital Pharmaceuticals bought the adjacent 224,572-square-foot warehouse at 20311 Sheridan Street for $35 million.
The latest parcel is undeveloped. It is part of the 750,000-square-foot site known as the South Florida Distribution Center, which was developed by Helms Development and Core5 Industrial Partners in 2017.
South Florida Distribution Center is a three-building logistics park on 66 acres, less than one-half mile from U.S. 27. The site was formerly home to a women’s prison.
Vital Pharmaceuticals, led by Jack Owoc, manufactures and distributes sports supplements under the brand name VPX. Its products include Power Rush and Bang, a popular sports energy drink. The company previously announced that it planned to move its headquarters from Weston to Pembroke Pines.
