Longtime Related Group executive Carlos Rosso left the real estate development firm to go out on his own.
Rosso, who was most recently executive vice president of the Miami-based firm, confirmed to The Real Deal that he parted ways with the company. He called his 18 years with Related “an incredible run.” The Miami Herald first reported the news.
Rosso joined Related in 2002 as an assistant project manager. He led the condominium development division, including working on Residences by Armani/Casa, Brickell Heights, SLS Lux, SLS Brickell, Park Grove and the Paraiso Edgewater complex. Before Related, he worked for the Belgian development firm Besix International.
Related announced in October that Jon Paul Pérez, Jorge Pérez’s eldest son, would become president of the company in November. Pérez’s son Nicholas also works for Related as a vice president. Related plans to open its new headquarters in Coconut Grove early next year.
Rosso left Related after Jon Paul became president. He will stay on as a partner in some Related projects, he confirmed, declining to provide more details about his next move. Rosso, a native of Argentina, has been actively involved in the company’s projects in Latin America.
Rosso said he was “very, very [grateful] and happy for all the years” at Related.
