Pebb Enterprises scored three new tenants for a Boca Raton building

Matthews Real Estate Investment Services I The Main Las Olas | Fort Lauderdale

Real estate services and tech firm Matthews Real Estate leased its first Florida office in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Matthews, based in El Segundo, California, recently moved into its 3,752-square-foot space at The Main Las Olas office tower at 201 East Las Olas Boulevard, according to a news release. Over the next three years, Matthews plans to hire more than 50 agents for the office who will focus on South Florida.

The company is led by Chairman and CEO Kyle Matthews. Associate Vice President Harrison Auerbach will lead the Fort Lauderdale office, according to the release.

Matthews’ other locations include San Diego, Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Austin and Cleveland. The company offers sales, leasing and financing brokerage services.

The Fort Lauderdale lease follows nine tenants taking a combined 20,667 square feet in October at the 25-story The Main Las Olas office tower. They include New York-based hedge fund Starboard Value, Raymond James and Azorra aircraft lessor.

Developers Stiles and Shorenstein Properties completed the 387,402-square-foot building in late 2020.

Cozen O’Connor, Dr. Ryan Alman, Medical Conferences I Boca Raton

Pebb Enterprises has almost fully leased its 1801 Building in Boca Raton, after securing three new office tenants.

Law firm Cozen O’Connor leased 14,152 square feet; and Dr. Ryan Alman, a dentist, took 3,730 square feet at 1801 North Military Trail, according to a Pebb news release. Also, Rosemont, Illinois-based Medical Conferences International took 4,278 square feet.

The building, which has 62,188 square feet of offices, is 97 percent leased, the release says.

Pebb, led by Ian Weiner, bought the three-story building in 2021 for $18.4 million, property records show.

In another Pebb deal, Infinity Sales Group moved its headquarters into the entire 77,340-square-foot 5900 Building at the Park at Broken Sound in Boca Raton.

Pebb bought that property in 2021 for $14.5 million.

Davis Goldman I Miami and Plantation

Law firm Davis Goldman is more than doubling its presence at both its Miami and Plantation offices.

Davis Goldman leased 4,100 square feet at 1221 Brickell Avenue in Miami, where it will move from its current office at 1441 Brickell Avenue, according to a news release from the law firm.

It also leased 1,800 square feet at 2 South University Drive in Plantation, where it will move from its current office at 601 South Federal Highway in Hollywood.

Davis Goldman plans to expand its staff by 30 percent in the coming months, the release says.

Its practice areas include personal injury, complex business litigation and general counsel services.
