Belong I Brickell I Miami
Belong, a rental homes management company, is moving its headquarters from California to Brickell in Miami.
The company will occupy a 7,000-square-foot space at the Brickell City Tower at 80 Southwest Eighth Street, according to Owen Savir, co-founder of Belong. It is renovating the space and working out of a temporary office at the 800 Brickell tower for the time being.
Roughly 20 employees, including the company’s executives, will work at the Brickell City Tower, although more are poised to make the transition down the line, Savir said.
New York Life Investors owns the tower, having paid $117.3 million for it in 2017.
Belong has about 300 employees nationwide and offers owners of rental homes financial tools and management services aimed at easing the work associated with being a landlord. Its previous headquarters was in San Mateo.
In May, the company raised $80 million in a Series C funding round, with Fifth Wall leading the equity financing. Belong also is backed by Battery Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and GGV Capital.
The relocation is in line with South Florida, and especially Brickell, becoming a magnet for company relocations and expansions, with many of their executives also purchasing homes here.
