Here’s the latest personnel moves in South Florida real estate.
The Bainbridge Companies, a multifamily real estate developer based in Wellington, hired two vice presidents, according to a press release. The firm appointed Heidi Jehlicka as vice president of marketing, and Krista Washbourne as vice president of learning and development, the release says.
For Jehlicka, the move is a homecoming. She previously worked for Bainbridge as a senior vice president of marketing and employee development from 2018 to 2021, her LinkedIn shows. She was most recently vice president of operations with Phoenix, Arizona-based Orbit Investments.
Washbourne comes to Bainbridge from Austin, Texas-based Interplay Learning, where she was director of sales operations for two years, according to LinkedIn. Prior to Interplay, Washbourne worked at Lincoln Property Company as vice president of learning and talent development.
Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced the appointment of Alex Ballina as director of public housing and community development for the county. Ballina previously served as the director of asset management for the county’s department of public housing and community development, according to a release. With this appointment, the department’s interim director, Clarence Brown, is also moving into the deputy director role in April, the release says.
Chicago-based JLL hired Zach Wendelin as managing director for the firm’s Miami office, according to a press release. Wendlin previously worked for JLL-acquired Cresa Partners of Florida as a vice president in 2016, before he jumped to a senior vice president role at CBRE, where he worked for six and a half years, his LinkedIn shows.
Wendelin joins JLL’s office leasing team in Miami. He specializes in tenant representation, the release shows.
Sotheby’s International Realty appointed Jessica Shapiro to vice president and brokerage manager in Palm Beach, according to LinkedIn. In the role, Shapiro will oversee the brokerage’s offices in Palm Beach, Wellington, Singer Island and West Palm Beach.
Domus Brickell Park, the planned 12-story, 171-unit condominium by Ricardo Dunin’s Oak Capital and Edifica, tapped Catalina Martucci of Cervera Real Estate to head sales. The project launched sales earlier this month. Prices for units range from $400,000 to $1 million.
Coastal Construction Group, the Miami-based construction firm led by founder and CEO Thomas P. Murphy, Jr., promoted three executives to vice president. Nick Duke and Blake Murphy were both named vice president of field operations, and Jon Piccolo was named vice president, according to a press release.
Vladimir Doronin’s OKO Group hired Paul Hess as a senior associate for acquisition and development in its residential and hospitality portfolios, Hess confirmed. He joins OKO after spending five years at Quarterra Group, a Lennar Corporation subsidiary. He was most recently development manager, his LinkedIn shows.
