Mediterranean restaurant Motek Cafe will open in Miami Beach

The eatery signed a 10-year lease for 5,200 square feet on the ground floor of the Triton Tower Condominium at 2899 Collins Avenue, according to a news release from the landlord’s broker. Motek is building out its space and is expected to open this year.

Matt Martinez of Beacon Hill Property Group represented the landlord, a Canadian private equity group that owns the retail space at the condo building.

Motek, a family-owned business, has kosher-style offerings with Glatt kosher meat but isn’t a certified kosher restaurant, as it serves dairy and doesn’t have separate kitchens and preparation areas, according to its website.

Its other South Florida restaurants are at the Seybold building at 36 Northeast First Street in downtown Miami, and at 45 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. It also has two restaurants at Aventura Mall, at 19565 Biscayne Boulevard, one on the lower level and another at the third-floor food hall.
