There’s movement at the top of South Florida real estate, with developers across the region tapping new leadership.
The Altman Companies, a Fort Lauderdale-based multifamily developer and subsidiary of BBX Capital Real Estate, tapped David Schultz as president of Altman Living, according to a press release. Schultz was previously senior vice president of Community Housing Partners in Richmond, Virginia, LinkedIn shows.
Schultz developed 35 affordable housing communities during his time with Community Housing Partners, according to the release. In his new role, Schultz will lead Altman’s affordable housing development efforts across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, the release shows.
The Kolter Group also brought in new leadership for affordable housing development. The Delray Beach-based firm’s affiliate, Kolter Multifamily, hired Esteban Perez as vice president of development, a press release shows. Perez previously spent two years as a development manager with the Related Group, his LinkedIn shows.
Perez will focus on developing affordable housing throughout Florida in his new position, the release says.
Palm Beach Gardens-based Eastwind Development, another multifamily developer, brought in Omar del Rio as vice president of acquisitions and development, according to a press release. He was previously senior vice president of development at Fort Lauderdale-based Quarterra Group, his LinkedIn shows. He also owns and manages his own portfolio of multifamily properties.
While the HBO show “Succession” may have aired its final episode, succession planning is an evergreen topic for real estate families. Coral Gables-based MG Developer announced the promotion of Diego Torrealba from vice president to senior vice president of real estate development. Torrealba is the son of MG founder Alirio Torrealba, and he graduated from Boston University in May.
