Developer Jeff Greene plans a $20 million revamp of his Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa in Palm Beach.

The hotel closed on Monday ahead of the planned renovation, which will include a replacement of the air conditioning system, flooring, cabinetry and furniture in the rooms, the Palm Beach Daily News reported. The spaces for the two restaurants, Brandon’s and Mizu, also will be renovated.

The hotel is expected to reopen in October, Greene told the publication.

Greene reportedly paid $42 million for the hotel, at 2842 South Ocean Boulevard, in 2011 when it was still named Omphoy Ocean Resort.

The billionaire has been a prolific developer in Palm Beach County and also has vast landholdings. In West Palm Beach, he owns 26 acres near or along the Intracoastal Waterway. Last year, he told The Real Deal that he wants to build a pair of 30-story condominium towers on a portion of the land and just west of waterfront Currie Park.
